DEARBORN — If you have low or moderate income and are over 60-years-old free help to prepare your tax forms is available from volunteers.
The program is provided by the City of Dearborn’s Senior Services Division. Appointments aren’t necessary, but services are limited to 25 people a day. Help is available to those who need assistance with the following tax forms: Michigan Home Heating Credit, Michigan Homestead Property Tax Credit, State Income Tax and Federal Income Tax.
Those seeking help should bring their 2009 tax returns, 2010 tax forms, all records of income including social security, earned interest, dividends and pensions, receipts for health care costs, medical insurance premiums, tax payment receipts for city, school and county taxes.
Assistance is available at the following locations and times:
Kennedy Plaza (5111 Bingham) • 10 a.m.
Feb. 14, Feb. 28, March 7 and 21
Hubbard Manor West (22077 Beech at Mason) • 10 a.m.
Feb. 14 and 21.
Dearborn Senior Center (inside the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Avenue) 10 a.m., Tuesdays through Fridays until April 15.
Townsend Towers (7000 Freda at Blesser) 10 a.m.
Monday, April 4.
