ANN ARBOR — Ann Arbor-based Michigan Peaceworks will sponsor
a peace picnic and demonstration on Friday, June 24 to celebrate the launch of
the international humanitarian flotilla bringing food and medicine to Gaza.
The peace picnic will take place near Gallup Park in Ann
Arbor. The public is welcome to
join activists on the Huron Parkway bridge over the Huron River on the golf
course-side of the street.
Activists will meet at 5 pm to hold signs praising the peaceful
flotilla. At 6 pm, the group will
head into the park to join in a potluck picnic by the river.
The fourth international humanitarian flotilla to Gaza will
depart Greece around June 24.
