DETROIT — Quicken Loans, an online retail mortgage lender, said it plans to hire 500 new workers with most of them coming from the metro Detroit area. 

The company plans to host a job fair on Saturday at its downtown Detroit headquarters and is looking to hire immediately in areas such as marketing, technology and mortgage banking. 

Door prizes and sessions with recruiters will be offered along with a tour of its offices. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. and jobs are posted at QuickenLoansCareers.com. Parking for the Compuware Building at 1050 Woodward Avenue in Detroit is available at the garage on Farmer St. between Gratiot Ave. and Monroe St.
