DEARBORN HEIGHTS— On Tuesday, Sep. 25 a fundraiser will be held to support Crestwood School Board candidate Zaineb Hussein’s election campaign. The event will be at the Warren Valley Golf Club here. It’s $50 to attend, and will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Since launching her campaign Hussein has received widespread support from the community. “I look forward to working collectively with parents and other members of the Crestwood community to set and meet educational goals for students. When elected, I will bring innovative ideas into action. I will give nothing less than my all to ensure each and every student is provided with a fair and enriching educational experience,” Hussein said. 

She’s been employed with the Michigan Department of Human Services since 2009. In 2011 she was elected as the Equal Opportunity Diversity Inclusion Advisory Committee executive chair for MI-DHS statewide, and re-elected in 2012.  She is a Dearborn Heights resident.
