Attendees included a large number of local and federal judges, the Consulate of Lebanon, the Consulate of Mexico, the Consulate of Japan, the Consulate of Canada, representatives for Senators Levin and Stabenow, Congressman John Conyers, Jr., representatives from Congressman John Dingell’s office, US Attorney Barbara McQuade, CBP Explorer Youth, Dearborn Police Department Explorer, Wayne County Sheriff Department, law-enforcement agencies and other community leaders.

“There is really nothing more important than to work for collaboration, for equality, for justice, for all people. I am honored as a member of the Jewish community to be reached out to by the Arab American community,” Judge Edmunds stated after being presented with her award by Wayne County Circuit Court Judge David Allen.

“Definitely our Guardian of Justice Awardees had great standings on the bench and have done things related to civil rights, civil liberties and upholding justice, regardless of faith, nationality or color. The judges need to have a record on behalf of justice and on behalf of the true American values to be considered for this award every year,” Imad Hamad stated.
