DEARBORN — Dearborn Police officers were dispatched to Dearborn High School at approximately 1:00 a.m. on May 5, after receiving a phone call that a high jump pad at the school was on fire.

Upon arrival, officers determined that an unknown suspect, or suspects, purposely set the landing pad on fire.
According to the Dearborn Press & Guide, officers discovered fresh graffiti, written in chalk, on the cement near the pad. One phrase read “MOE,” and another phrase read “Oliver, hey guys.”
Police also discovered a trail east of the graffiti leading to the main burn site. Officers said the trail appeared to be made with an accelerant and had been burned into the high school’s outdoor track.
The crime remains unsolved as the police department has no suspects. If residents have information regarding this matter, they are advised to contact the Dearborn Police Department Tip Line at 313-943-3012.
