DEARBORN — On Saturday, June 1, two men allegedly stole a parking meter with coins in it on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn.

A Post Bar employee witnessed a man pick up a large object from the floor and put it in the trunk of a pick-up truck after he had heard a crash in a City parking lot on Michigan Avenue in downtown West Dearborn. 

After noticing that a parking pole was missing, the employee dialed 911 at 2:25 a.m. Later that night, police pulled over a 2010 blue Ford F-150 truck on Telegraph Road that matched the description given of the vehicle.  

Dearborn police found a parking meter in the truck and arrested the two men, who now face larceny charges.
