LANSING — The Michigan Republican Party announced Tuesday that plans to open 10 regional offices on July 1, 2013. The 10 counties with offices will include Grand Traverse, Ottawa, Kent, Saginaw, Livingston, Kalamazoo, Washtenaw, Oakland, Wayne and Macomb.
“The Michigan Republican Party’s new political strategy is focused on creating more peer-to-peer, neighbor-to-neighbor contact,” said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak. “To do that, we’re opening 10 regional offices, with new field and communications staff, next month that will function full time into 2014 and beyond. It’s much more comprehensive than anything we’ve done before, and we believe it will be the key to our success moving forward.”
“A winning political strategy is built from the ground up, and that’s exactly what we plan to do,” said Michigan Republican Party Executive Director Kim Jorns. “Our new regional staff will be out in the field, engaging with voters to determine their needs and spreading the message of what our party has to offer. It’s an exciting time to be a Republican in Michigan.”
Office locations will be announced on a city by city basis in the coming weeks.
