LIVONIA — Civil rights leader Reverend Jesse Jackson will serve as the keynote speaker for the Arab American Civil Rights League’s second annual Fight for Justice Gala that will be held Oct. 16 at the Burton Manor in Livonia, Michigan.
“Reverend Jackson is a civil rights icon for all Americans, as well as for many around the world. ACRL is excited to have an American legend keynote its event,” said Samia Hamid-Sareini of the ACRL.
The Gala will feature 7 Action News’ Nima Shaffe, as emcee. This year’s award recipients are Dr. James Zogby, founder and president of the Arab American Institute and Osama Siblani, publisher of The Arab American News.
