“Our community stands united!!! WE WILL support and continue to support the family and efforts to capture the killers who viciously murdered an innocent man!!! He was a loving husband, father, friend and neighbor to all of us! He was a GEM in our community, and never thought twice to pay it forward when someone was in need,” an administrator of the Facebook page wrote.
Salaka, a Chaldean American, is survived by his wife and two daughters. More than $10,000 is being offered as a reward to anyone with information that could help police find the suspects.
This week, police released enhanced surveillance photos of the three suspects involved in the robbery.
Police are hoping the newly released photos that feature clearer images of the suspects’ faces will help bring them to justice. Those with any information should call Detective Brian Gilbert at 586.493.7845. For more on the fundraiser call 586.791.1288.
