DETROIT – Wayne County officials currently estimates that the August 11 storm that severely impacted parts of Southeastern Michigan resulted in more than $340 million in flood damages in the County. More than 35,000 private residences were impacted, resulting in more than $332 million in damages, with an additional $12 million in damages to publicly owned structures. Preliminary assessments calculate that more than 94,000 people have been affected.
Wayne County, in partnership with the State of Michigan and local support agencies, is providing a Multi Resource Agency Center (MARC) “one stop shop”, for citizens to ask questions, gather information and find help that will assist them in moving forward in their recovery efforts.
