DEARBORN — On Wednesday, the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) announced 10 people were being monitored in the state for the deadly Ebola virus. Earlier the same day, it was reported that eight people were being monitored for the disease in Michigan.
The MDCH says while the patients are being monitored, none show symptoms of Ebola. MDCH spokesperson Angela Minicuci said the monitoring is precautionary. She said there is still an extremely low risk of Ebola in Michigan. Officials believe the individuals do not have any direct contact with the virus.
