DEARBORN — The Dearborn Police Department is looking for a qualified candidate for an open part time police officer position. 

The job pays $25 an hour. Part time officers are required to work 28-hours a week. Minimum requirements for the job include at least five years experience as a certified police officer and associate degree in law enforcement or two years of related college-level coursework or a bachelor’s or higher degree in any discipline. Only applicants with a valid driver’s license and good driving record will be considered. Those who apply must be at least 18-years-old and United States citizens. The process will include application review, personal history questionnaire, oral-board interview, background investigation and chief’s interview.
