DEARBORN—On Sunday, April 12 around 2 p.m. an armed robbery occurred at an all-night diner in the area of Southfield and Outer Drive. The suspect is described as a white male.
He was wearing a black Carhart skull cap, and black cloth covering his face. He also has on a navy blue hoodie with the letters “American Original” on the back along with an image of an American Flag and Mickey Mouse, very light blue jeans and blue rubber gloves. The suspect was armed with a dark-colored handgun.
He entered the restaurant, immediately walked behind the counter pointing a handgun at the cashier and demanded she open the register. He took the money from the till and fled through the back exit of the restaurant.
“We are asking for assistance from the community to help identify the perpetrator of this brazen robbery. The bold nature of this crime suggests that the person responsible would not hesitate to put anyone in harm’s way. He should be considered armed and dangerous. We will continue to use all of the resources at our disposal while working with our local and state partners in law enforcement to apprehend this dangerous criminal,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said.
