DEARBORN —
resident Zeinab Atwi is in need of a kidney donor. She has been on dialysis for
more than 10 years. Atwi has type B blood. A suitable donor may have type B or
O blood.

She is a student
at Dorsey School in Dearborn and plans on pursing a career in the medical
field.

“She wants to
work at Detroit’s Children’s Hospital in the future, because that is where she
has received treatment; so she wants to help the patients there,” said Atwi’s
brother, Saeed Atwi.

Children’s
Hospital will conduct free blood screenings for those who are interested in
being tested to see if they are a match.

“We
are really trying to get her a kidney as soon as possible,” Atwi said.
