DETROIT — Armada Oil and Gas Company joined the Feed the Children and Second Ebenezer Church in Detroit recently to help feed 1600 Detroit families in need, providing them with food and daily necessities. The event was held at the church. 

Together, Feed the Children and Second Ebenezer provided enough supplemental food and necessities to help support a family of four for up to a week.

According to a report, in Detroit alone nearly 40 percent of families live below the poverty line. Feed the Children is one of many events people use across the country to help poverty stricken communities. 

In addition to the Armada Oil and Gas Company and Feed the Children, the event was sponsored by Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart, the Associated Food and Petroleum Dealers and Frito-Lay.
