DEARBORN – Two longtime administrators in Michigan’s public school system will join the Dearborn Board of Education.
At its meeting Monday, Oct. 12, the board approved Youssef Mosallam, principal at Fordson High School, as executive director of student achievement.

Mosallam was named “Educator of the Year” by the Michigan Parent Teacher Association in March. He has served as the principal at Fordson for five years and an administrator for nine years.
Timothy Gruszczynski will serve as director of trades and labor.

Gruszczynski is currently director of plant operations
with Ann Arbor Public Schools. He began as the district’s environmental service crew chief in 1996 and also worked as supervisor.
In an email announcing the appointments, Superintendent of Dearborn Public Schools Glenn Maleyko congratulated Gruszczynski and Mosallam and said the district had many outstanding candidates for the positions.
