DEARBORN – The primary
election held on Tuesday, August 2nd will determine the fate of
candidates in a variety of
races, including Congressional, state Legislative, county, and judicial
contests.
In addition, voters will be asked to renew 3.5 mills to continue
funding Dearborn city services.
Also on the ballot are two Wayne County proposals to continue
support for parks and the zoo.
Residents
who are registered and are qualified for an absentee ballot will be able to
pick it up at the Dearborn Administrative Center until Saturday, July 30. The Clerk’s Office, located at 16901 Michigan
Ave, will be open 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on that day.
Absentee ballots must be received by the
Clerk’s Office by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
On
August 2nd, polls will be open to registered voters from 7 a.m. – 8
p.m. Residents who don’t know what precinct to vote at can go on to https://webapps.sos.state.mi.us/MVIC/ to get additional information or by calling 313-943-2032.
