DEARBORN — According to a press release, Dearborn police have identified the suspect involved in a series of home invasions in the northeast end of the city.
Shady Karim of Shelby Township was on bail for Home Invasion while committing the crimes, police said.
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed charges of 2nd Degree Home Invasion against the 29-year-old. He has also been charged with Habitual Offender 4th Notice, which leads to life in prison if condemned.
19th District Court Judge Gene Hunt arraigned Karim and set bond at $100,000 cash. Karim will be obligated to wear a GPS tether if he posts bond.
A Probable Cause Conference for Jan. 27 at 9:00 a.m. and a Preliminary Exam date of Feb. 3 at 9:00 a.m. were arranged.
