DEARBORN – On Monday, the Dearborn tourist destination The Henry Ford announced that it will change the name of the Henry Ford Museum to Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.
“Henry Ford Museum has always been about ideas and innovations that changed the world,” Moordian said. “We believe adding the word innovation to the museum’s name better serves our visitors as it clearly defines the museum’s focus.”
She added that The Henry Ford will partner with national educational organizations like Pearson to develop problem solving, creativity and innovation courses for sixth- through eighth-grade students. It will also work with the STEMIE Coalition to form the national Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo.
The Expo is meant to raise K-12 invention and entrepreneurship education to a national level.
The Henry Ford plans on continuing its Emmy-earning PBS television series “The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation” for two more seasons.
