TROY — On March 20, The Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC) announced that its 16th annual ACC Scholarship Program applications are now available for Arab American and Chaldean high school seniors. The announcement was made by ACC President Dr. Haifa Fakhouri.
ACC is a premier nonprofit human service organization serving Southeast Michigan. The scholarship programs offer financial assistance to high school seniors of Arab or Chaldean descent, provided that they are Michigan residents in pursuit of higher education.
The awards are based on academic excellence and financial need where applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Interested applicants must provide a copy of their current academic transcript and proof of acceptance into a university or college.
Scholarship applications can be found online at www.myacc.org. The deadline for applying is Friday, May 11.
“The ACC is proud to be a trusted community resource with robust programming and a scholarship program now in its 16th year,” Fakhouri said. “Last year we awarded 32 scholarships, and it is our honor to continue this important tradition of providing scholarships to local graduating seniors who are furthering their education.”
