DEARBORN– A free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day takes place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Detroit City Airport.
It is open to all Wayne County residents. Residents can safely dispose of hazardous items like household paints and stains, floor care items, furniture polish, bathroom cleaners and garden chemicals, with proof of Wayne County residency, which is required.
The county now also accepts CRT-type monitors and televisions at these events. Additional Wayne County collection are offered on Saturday, August 11 at the Westland Shopping Center and Saturday, Nov. 3 Wayne County Community College Detroit, Downriver Campus, in Taylor.
