DEARBORN — Unlike some providers of accent reduction services, clients of Dearborn Speech and Sensory Center work with certified speech-language pathologists who are able to address other issues as well, including articulation, grammar, voice disorders and help with public speaking.
“Our speech language pathologists come from diverse cultural and language backgrounds, so they are sensitive to the experiences and needs of our clients,” said Lori M. Shaffer, a speech language pathologist and director of the Dearborn Speech and Sensory Center.
Clients are enrolled in a seven or 13 week program. Each program consists of a 1.5 hour session. Sessions are conducted one-on-one or in small groups of three to five people. For more information call 313-359-4695 or visit www.dearbornspeechandsensory.com.
