DEARBORN — On Monday, March 10, 2014 at approximately 9:35 a.m., the Dearborn Police Department responded to the 600 block of S. Brady on a report of a stabbing and carjacking. On scene, officers spoke with a 19-year-old Detroit man who stated that he and the suspect agreed to meet to conduct a narcotics transaction.
The victim said after completing the drug deal the suspect opened his vehicle door and began stabbing him with a knife. The victim fell from his vehicle and the suspect jumped in it and fled the area. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for multiple puncture wounds and lacerations, and he was later released. After further investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested on Tuesday, Mar. 11, 2014 at approximately 3 p.m. Twenty-four-year-old Dearborn resident Shaker Hassoon was charged with carjacking, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. Hassoon was arraigned in the 19th District Court and his bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety. A preliminary exam has been scheduled for Mar. 21, 2014 at 9 a.m.
