DEARBORN — Henry Ford College is partnering with Glacier Hills Senior Living Communities to host a career expo on October 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. The event is open to current students, alumni and the public.
This year’s expo “promises to be the biggest and most user-friendly ever”, according to a press release. Henry Ford encourages veterans and service members to attend this year’s expo.
Professional dress will be required at the expo and the college is providing gently used career apparel for attendees who are in need.
The event will host more than 70 employers from Michigan and surrounding states, provide resume coaching on site and offer free professional photos for your job search.
Some employers that will be present include: ACCESS, Beaumont Health System, Busch’s Fresh Food Markets, the city of Detroit, FedEx Ground, Verizon Wireless and more.
Recruiters on site will be making job offers for in-demand fields, many of which do not require a four-year college degree.
The event will be held in the gymnasium of the Athletic Memorial Building, with free parking nearby.
