WARREN — In support of the foundation’s 36th annual Metro Detroit Youth Day, the Michigan Youth Appreciation Foundation is offering 100-125 scholarships per year to graduating seniors who have been accepted to a university, college or collegiate program beginning in the fall of 2018.
In an effort to encourage the students to further their education, the foundation aims to assist local students by providing them with an opportunity to fund their education. To date, the foundation has awarded more than 1,500 scholarships.
Students can submit an application before the April 27 deadline.
Students graduating from a public, parochial, private or charter school who have been accepted into a four year university or college or a two year community college program and have confirmed attendance for fall enrollment are eligible to apply.
The scholarship recipients will be recognized at the 36th annual Metro Detroit Youth Day event on Belle Isle, Wednesday, July 11.
Applicants can download the application and submission instructions at metrodetroityouthday.org/forms.html.
