DEARBORN, DEARBORN HEIGHTS – In Dearborn and Dearborn Heights, voters will select trustees for the Dearborn, Crestwood and District Seven School Board in the Nov. 6 elections.
Three seats are available on the Dearborn School Board— one two year term and two six year terms.
Current Trustee Mary Lane was the only candidate to file for the two year term, while Afaf Ahmad, Aman Fidama, Adel Mozip and Cynthia Parrelly filed to run for the six year term.
Candidates Billy Amen, Khalil El-Saghir, Roxanne McDonald and James Thorpe have filed for both the two and six year terms.
“Please keep in mind that the candidates that filed for both the two and six year terms must withdraw from one by 4 p.m. Friday, July 27,” Dearborn City Clerk George Darany said. “If they fail to withdraw from one race, they will be disqualified from both races.”
In Dearborn Heights, Crestwood School Board incumbents Kevin Suave, Lynne Senia and Donna Ancinec have filed to run for the three six-year terms that will end on Dec. 31, 2024, as has challenger Salwa Fawaz.
