DEARBORN – The city clerk is seeking poll workers for the November 6 general election.
Candidates should be at least 18 years of age, registered voters in Michigan and have basic computer skills. Students who are 16 or 17 years old may also apply.
The position pays $130 for the day and an additional $20 for attending the pre-election instruction class the week preceding the election. There will be morning, afternoon and evening class options offered.
The work hours are from 6:15 a.m. until about 9 p.m. on Election Day.
Job duties include helping with the set-up of election equipment, processing voters, offering instructions, saving reports on the computer and assisting with closing the polls.
Interested parties are encouraged to apply soon at the city clerk’s office in the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave.
