Inkster — Focus: Hope is closing its Inkster facility. Stanley Davis, an Inkster resident and volunteer at Focus: Hope, is concerned that this will impact thousands of senior citizens in Wayne County who depend on food supplements from the facility to help them make it through the month.
According to Davis, a “for sale” sign is currently on the yard in front of the building.
“It’s imperative that we do all that we can to keep this facility open,” he wrote in a letter to The Arab American News. “It allows seniors to choose what they’d like to eat, provides pertinent information regarding senior assistance programs, and additional food choices from Forgotten Harvest and Open Door Ministry.”
Stanley is asking those concerned about the facility’s closing to address their letters to:
Ms. Portia Robinson (313) 494-4300
