DEARBORN – The Ford Community and Performing Arts Center will be undergoing maintenance and most portions of the building will be closed from August 26 to September 2.

The closed portions include the gymnasiums, pools, fitness area, the Michael A. Guido Theater Box Office and the Senior Services Office. 

During these days, the equipment and facilities at the Center will undergo extensive cleaning, reconditioning and refurbishment, including refinishing the floors, cleaning carpeting, tile work in the pools and painting.

The two pools and spa will close on Friday, August 23, at 5 p.m. However, passholders will be able to swim at Dearborn’s outdoor community pool—Dunworth—during the maintenance week shutdown by simply showing their passholder card.  Dunworth will be open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day from noon to 6 p.m.

During maintenance week, the service desk at the Center will be open August 26 until August 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 3, at 5:30 a.m., although the pools may not be available at that time
