HAMTRAMCK — A group of peace and Palestinian rights activists are to hold a silent vigil and a luncheon on April 11 in Hamtramck.
The Women in Black vigil is scheduled at noon at Pope Park, on the corner of Joseph Campau and Belmont Streets.
The luncheon, organized by Hamtramck Supporters of Palestine, includes a Bangladeshi buffet and is to start at 1:30 p.m. at the Gates of Columbus, 9632 Conant Street, north of Holbrook. Excerpts from the documentary film “Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land,” are to be shown and Hasan Newash of the Palestine Office is to speak. Call 313.207.3904 for information.
