DEARBORN — The Lebanese American Heritage Club, the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, ACCESS and the city of Dearborn will host the 14th annual Dearborn Arab International Festival this weekend, June 19-21.
The event is the largest Arab festival in the nation.
The festival will occupy more then half a mile of Warren Avenue and brings in more than 300,000 participants each year, according to American Arab Chamber of Commerce estimates.
The festival is a family themed affair that attracts diverse crowds of all ages from Michigan, Canada and the Midwest. The event will feature a number of amusement rides, international food booths, arts and crafts, henna, a children’s tent, cultural merchandise, artisans, a giant old fashioned Ferris wheel that oversees east Dearborn, coffee cup readings and musical acts.
International music stars Hatim Idar (Superstar 3) and Zaher Saleh (Star Academy 5), along with the “world’s youngest drummer” and other local entertainers are scheduled to perform.

The festitval is to take place along Warren Avenue between Schaefer Road and Wyoming Street Friday, June 19 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, June 20, from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, June 21 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
