I would like to thank the community for supporting me throughout OUR campaign.

We as a community united on the issues and were able to create a movement of support from the youth of this wonderful community we all live, work and play in. I cannot stress enough the fact that many dedicated individuals took time out of their lives to help support this campaign, and for that I am grateful. I would also like to thank the members, supporters, and volunteers of the Arab American Political Action Committee (AAPAC) for the unwavering commitment they showed to our campaign. Through their volunteers at the polls, telephone calls to voters and get-out-the-vote campaign, Dearborn voters came out to support us in the thousands.
This campaign was not a loss; it was a success for all Dearborn residents. It showed that we as a community support Arab American candidates and it was proven at the polls when we made Council member Suzanne Sareini President Pro Tem and were successful in keeping in office George Darany and Robert Abraham, two other proud Arab Americans.
However, it is my intent that our efforts not end here. I will continue to always support and defend our community through the good times and the bad and I need your help to continue the momentum we gained, which made our bond as a group closer and stronger. Shortly after the election I received many calls of support from friends and family members wanting to do more for this community. I call on you, my friends, to help me with this cause. I plan on continuing this effort, not from the chambers of city council but from the grassroots. I ask that you help me in this effort by supporting our great city, which we all love.
Again, I would like to thank everyone for their efforts, some who stood out in the cold from 7 in the morning to 8 in the evening asking voters to support our campaign. Without everyone’s dedication to this campaign, we would have never gained this much support and respect from our community. I hope to see you all again soon.
