Yasir Afifi, a 20-year-old business marketing student from Mission College in Santa Clara, California found a secret GPS tracking device in his car that was planted by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Published reports conclude the FBI was investigating Afifi simply because his father was a prominent community leader. Afifi’s father died a year ago while traveling to Egypt.  The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is working to ban the government from invading the personal property of citizens without a warrant, and is questioning the constitutionality of wiretapping. The ACLU called it an abrogation of due process. Afifi was born in the United States. Pictures of the device have been posted online by Afifi’s friend and can be viewed by visiting wired.com
