DEARBORN — Lebanese American Helen Thomas, a former Hearst Newspaper columnist, distinguished journalist, author and former White House bureau chief for the United Press International, is expected to speak at a diversity workshop on Dec. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Byblos Banquet Center in Dearborn.

The workshop, “Images and Perceptions of Arab Americans: The New America: Mom, Apple Pie, and Arab Bashing,” will also include appearances from Ray Hanania, award winning writer, author, comedian and radio commentator and Dr. Jack Shaheen, internationally acclaimed author and media critic and professor emeritus at the University of Illinois Edwardsville.
