DEARBORN — My Orphans held its first annual fundraising
dinner on May 13, 2011 at Bint Jebail Cultural Center in Dearborn. The
organization was established as a project under the Humanitarian Services
Department of the office of I.M.A.M., which is a 501c3 non-profit, to respond
to the desperate need for orphan care in war-torn and poverty-stricken nations.
My Orphans currently has over 1,500 orphans from Lebanon, Iraq, and Afghanistan
in their database, awaiting sponsorship on its website at
www.MyOrphans.us.  Over 99% of
donations go directly to providing an orphan the basic necessities of food,
