DEARBORN — On June 6, Dearborn Resident Ferdinand Lansang was apprehended and arrested by Dearborn Police Special Operations officers, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Apprehension Team.
Lansang was arraigned by 19th District Court Judge Sam Salamey for ‘assault with intent to murder,’ ‘assault by strangulation,’ ‘assault with a dangerous weapon’ (2 counts) and ‘domestic violence-aggravated.’ Bond was set at $75,000 cash. A preliminary exam is scheduled at the 19th District Court for June 21 at 9 a.m.
The charges are the result of a thorough investigation, coordinated by Dearborn Police Detective Marek Noworyta, which ensued after the victim reported being assaulted, choked and threatened with a weapon by Lansang, who is her boyfriend.
