DETROIT — Mayor Mike Duggan and new Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) Director Dan Dirks have made it a priority to improve DDOT transit services for its customers. As part of this commitment, DDOT is seeking qualified individuals to fill several mechanic and bus driver positions.
To qualify for the General Auto Mechanic position, applicants must:
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a valid state driver’s license
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Have two years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience
To qualify as a Bus Driver (Transportation Equipment Operator), applicants must:
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a Commercial Driver’s License
• Posses a high school diploma or GED
