DETROIT — Detroiters will be able to sign up for affordable health insurance at select firehouses and recreation centers throughout the city.
The community-based effort is part of Mayor Mike Duggan’s commitment to get residents enrolled under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) by the March 31 deadline.
“Everyone deserves quality, affordable healthcare. The Affordable Care Act gives people options that fit their needs and their wallets. We want to see as many Detroiters as possible take advantage of this opportunity,” Duggan said.
The signup effort runs through the ACA enrollment period. Trained personnel will be on hand to help residents sign up for health insurance.
