DEARBORN — The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) will celebrate the 53rd anniversary of Medicaid on Monday, July 30, with a birthday cake and a roundtable discussion with members of the ACCESS team, clients, coalition partners, local elected officials and other stakeholders.
U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Dearborn) has been confirmed as a speaker at the event.
The goal of the event is to celebrate the impact Medicaid has had on the community and highlight the importance of protecting the Medicaid program, which has made great contributions to the function of ACCESS as a nonprofit community service in Dearborn for the last 47 years.
ACCESS stated that that Medicaid fills the crucial gap in health care coverage for low-income families, parents, seniors, caregivers, pregnant mothers and people living with disabilities.
The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at ACCESS’ Community Health & Research Center Building in Dearborn and includes lunch.
