DEARBORN — The late Mayor Michael A. Guido will be honored on Friday, Nov. 16, when the theater at Dearborn’s Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will be dedicated in his name during a gala affair.
As appropriate for a festive opening night, fireworks and a champagne toast will kick off the evening as the new Michael A. Guido Theater sign will be unveiled outside of The Center at 15801 Michigan Avenue.
The evening will include a short tribute ceremony inside the newly christened theater and then move on to dancing and dining in the Great Hall, which will be transformed for the night into an elegant ballroom. The Simone Vitale Band will keep the celebratory mood going till midnight.
Tickets are $50 a person and include admission to the tribute program, lavish hors d’oeuvres, drinks, an elaborate sweet table and a coffee bar.
Tickets can only be purchased at the box office at The Center. Call 943-2354. Tickets are expected to be available beginning Wednesday, Oct. 24. Business attire is appropriate for the event.
