A number of staff members working in the Dearborn Heights city clerk’s office have submitted their resignations which will be effective Mar. 31. They include the clerk, deputy clerk and city council secretary. City Clerk Judy Dudzinski’s letter of resignation was recently accepted by the city council; she said political conflict in the city along with a strain on her health has made it too difficult to continue . Dudzinski is retiring one year into her four-year term. Dearborn Height’s Mayor Dan Paletko says the council must sit down and discuss how the clerk’s office will function. The council secretary position has been posted and the deputy clerk position will be advertised soon, Council Chair Ken Baron said. Paletko says the option of receiving emergency assistance from the Wayne County Clerk’s office is also an option.
