DEARBORN HEIGHTS— Crestwood High School ranked as the 25th best public high school in Michigan, earning a silver medal, according to U.S. News and World Report. It also ranked as the 1,078th best high school in the country.
Dearborn High School ranked 74th in Michigan; Star International Academy 80th; Fordson 92nd and Edsel Ford High School 122nd.
U.S. News and World Report processed the rankings for 2017 and released its yearly list of best public high schools in the country.
Wellspring Preparatory High School in Grand Rapids was ranked the best in Michigan and 211th in the country. Arbor Preparatory in Ypsilanti came in second best in Michigan, while Black River Public High School in Holland earned third place.
U.S. News gave six gold medals to six Michigan public high schools; silver medals to 77 schools and bronze medals to 52 schools. γ
