DEARBORN — During the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, city of Dearborn buildings will be closed and the trash collection schedule will be affected both holiday weeks.
There will be trash and recycling collection on the normal schedule on Monday, December 24, Christmas Eve.
Collections will be delayed one day on Tuesday, December 25, which is Christmas, so people with a Tuesday pickup will be serviced on Wednesday. The pattern will continue through the Christmas week, with Friday’s trash district picked up on Saturday, December 29.
Trash and recycling collection will be on a normal schedule for Monday, December 31, but will be delayed once again on Tuesday, January 1. Trash and recycling will be collected Wednesday, January 2 and Thursday, January 3.

The Dearborn Administrative Center (DAC), the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center (The Center) and the 19th District Court will be closed on December 24 and December 25. Libraries will be closed on those days in addition to being closed the following Saturday and Sunday.
The Senior Center inside The Center will be closed from December 22 through January 1, reopening on January 2.

The Center will be open Sunday, December 31, from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. and Monday, January 1, from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
